Who are we?
A tennis school in the commune of Schaerbeek
La LTAAs well as being a tennis school, it also has a veritable social and integration through sport.
Hand in hand with municipality of Schaerbeek to develop its tennis projects.
In particular, we organise training courses for various local authority departments.
The municipality of Schaerbeek also helped the club install a new bubble three years ago, giving the school the opportunity to develop in first-class facilities.
The LTA, for its part, is committed year after year to promoting tennis in the community. SchaerbeekThis includes regularly inviting schools to take part in events designed to introduce children to tennis and other sporting activities.
Mission: teaching tennis and social integration
The main mission of the LTA is to teach tennis, respecting the needs and objectives of the pupils.
We offer lessons to children and adults alike, whatever their level (from beginner to competition).
We specialise in "tennis training".
The mission of the LTA is also social,
thanks to our partnership with municipality of Schaerbeek Our aim is to contribute to the development of children and their integration into society through the transmission of sporting values.
School values: respect and "the game before the stake".
The values we advocate are fundamental to the coherence of our educational project:
- the game before the stakes or the pleasure of playing, in other words
enjoyment of the game rather than performance for performance's sake - respect respect for rules, for partners, for others
instructors, equipment, fair play, respect for self and others - self-fulfilment thanks to targets tailored to
respecting each other's differences - conviviality and friendship
Teaching methods :
a new approach centred on autonomy
and sensations
La LTA has decided to take a new direction in education, with a new a new method based on the student's own sensations and experience in the field :
- coaches set up a framework that allows students to discover tennis based on their own experience on the court and their own sensations
- games and exercises are specially designed to suit the level of the students so that they can progress at their own pace
A progressive teaching approach :
- Equipment adapted to the age and abilities of the children (12m, 18m and 24m courts, adapted rackets, etc.),
- Games and exercises are specially designed to suit the age and level of the pupils.
Discovering the 4 pillars of tennis:
- technique (learning how to move)
- tactics (how to approach a point in the right way)
"intelligent") - physical (warm-up, footwork, coordination)
- (visualisation techniques, body language, etc.),
positive internal language, ways of achieving the "4Cs": calm,
fighting spirit, concentration and self-confidence)
A team of skilled coaches in continuous training :
- all our coaches are trained (federation graduates and
experienced)...and are constantly learning - together, throughout the year, we take part in
training: mini-tennis training, training in new techniques, etc.
pedagogical approaches (mainly focused on sensations and empowerment of
training, internal and external communication, etc.
